You Guys Should Hook Up
No...no we should not. I will never understand why some people are so damn obsessed and pushy about trying to hook their friends up, also its usually for selfish reasons. Not like, " oh you guys should hag out, you both really like photography" More like, "You guys should start dating my boyfriends cousin so we can double date/all live together" That was an ACTUAL reason from two separate people. Why the hell do people think I should date their boyfriends cousin lol

i have actually been set up before with my friend's boyfriend's cousin. i believe no further rationale was given other than "you're both single" and "he's tired of the sluts in his office". well i suppose i should be flattered that i wasn't considered a slut. suffice to say it did not work out well at all. i was struggling not to get bored when he talked. he met the love of his life after he me though (i've since realised that it's kinda my thing. go on a set up date with me and you'll find the love of your life after me.) and it was still awkward when i saw him at my friend's wedding even though he didn't remember me at all.
ReplyDeleteYeah I would feel pressured to like the guy, like this one guy I started talking to who was a friend of my cousin...he was really boring and not at all into the same stuff I was but I talked to him for a few weeks anyway cuz I didn't want to seem like a bitch, then I found out he lied about having kids AND he was living with a girlfriend and her two kids
